Feeding

Advanced Therapy Clinic is proud to be a leader in Feeding services for children with feeding difficulty or aversions.
2 times a month we conduct a FEEDING CLINIC to assess children with feeding challenges. This includes

  • Newborns with breast feeding difficulty

  • Children who aspirate or when chocking is common

  • Children transitioning to solid foods, such as a child who eats purees but won’t eat foods with texture.

  • Children with sensory issues with food, such as not liking certain textures/colors/temperatures.

  • Children who have difficulty chewing.

  • Children who are picky eaters and have very limited food choices.

Children with a feeding disorder may have a past history of…

  • Difficulty swallowing

  • Picky Eating

  • Reflux

Our feeding clinic brings together a team to asses and create a Plan of Care for each child.

  • Speech Therapist

  • Nutritionist

After the initial assessment at the clinic, ongoing treatment with one of our feeding therapist will be scheduled to continue to work on feeding milestones.
